Two Week Student Programme: July 2019

Week Starting: 2nd July 2019 – Week Ending: 15th July 2019
Week Starting: 18th July 2019 – Week Ending: 31st July 2019

Student Ages: Minimum Age 11 – Maximum Age 17

This campus is part of the prestigious University of Portsmouth also known as ‘The World Class University ‘ which is claimed to differ from others in that their methodology underpins research and innovation in their courses and subjects. Students stay in the James Watson Hall right in the city centre and very close to Victoria Park while it is only a 20-minute walk from the beautiful waterfront and famous Spinnaker Tower.

Facilities The common rooms have a beautiful sea view while the courtyard garden and canteen can be used by the students during their free time. This building also has 24/7 reception. Classrooms are located in the fantastic student centre just an eight-minute walk from the James Watson Hall the same distance to the cafeteria where students have their meals.

The language course includes 30 hours of tuition in two weeks* with an average of 15 hours per week, by English speaking teachers, with an entry test and a final certificate.
Students are assessed on their communicative ability on their first day in order to be properly assigned to their language course – courses range from Elementary to Advanced levels**.

Students follow a topic based syllabus and will take part in tasks that are designed to improve their spoken communication and language production.
Maximum 15 students per class.

*Subject to additional classes if the student is taking the Trinity Exam and has requested them.
